Visa issuance at Vietnam's international border gates (Airports, seaports, land border gates)
1. Foreigners are granted visas at international border gates in the following cases:
a) Originating from a country that does not have a Vietnamese visa-issuing authority;
b) Before coming to Vietnam, you have to go through many countries;
c) Enter Vietnam to visit or travel according to a program organized by an international travel enterprise in Vietnam;
d) Foreign seafarers are on ships anchored at Vietnamese seaports and want to exit through another border gate;
d) Enter to attend a relative's funeral or visit a seriously ill relative;
e) Entering Vietnam to participate in emergency incident handling, search and rescue, natural disaster and epidemic prevention or for other special reasons at the request of a competent Vietnamese agency.
2. Foreigners who are granted visas at international border gates submit their passports or documents with international travel value, and declare a visa application form with a photo at the immigration control unit. Children under 14 years old can declare together with the visa application form of the parent or guardian in case they share a passport with the parent or guardian.
3. The immigration control unit checks and compares with the notice of the immigration management agency that issues visas.
